The LeadHerShip Initiative (TLI)

In 2025, HerRights débuted The LeadHerShip Initiative (TLI) to teach girls in underserved communities leadership and life skills. The pilot was a smashing success, and the program continues in 2026 with school partner, Arizona School for the Arts (ASA) in downtown Phoenix.
TLI is predicated on the understanding that women are the changemakers of the future, and that gender bias (whether overt or subtle) often disrupts the learning cycle at the heart of becoming a leader. This early reality can equate to big losses in paths not taken. TLI intervenes at a key moment in time both for the girls, and for our world! Participants learn to perceive what they already do well that IS a leadership skill; how women leaders make the world a better place; how to manage stress and anxiety; self-advocacy; transcending stereotypes; financial literacy; resume creation and interview skills; and more!
One of TLI’s key components is pairing participants with mentors who stay available after TLI, into college, career, and beyond. TLI mentors are successful women in the community with a heart for helping a new generation navigate pathways to success and self-confidence.
TLI is currently accepting mentor applications. To connect, email TheLeadHerShipInitiative@gmail.
